I'm also working MTWF mornings from about 7:30-1:30. Fun times.

So... We're pretty much all moved in now. In the process of painting the TV room a nice dark blue, and then the living room will be painted a lighter blue from that color. I hope it looks nice, I really like the dark blue so far.

School starts Monday, and it feels like it suddenly came up on me out of nowhere. The whole month I've been thinking 'school starts soon, I better get ready" but then get distracted by something else until I think about it again. I'll be working most mornings and then schooling in the afternoons, but no class on Fridays so that should be nice.

Our roommate Becki is all moved in now and we had a birthday celebration for her last night, and that was pretty fun. Our friends all came over and we had a good time hanging out and all, pretty good Saturday spent at home. Today I want it to be a relaxing day, so that I'm not tired out for work and class on Monday.

Anyways, I adopted a 5 month old kitten from the Humane Society last weekend, and she is the most amusing thing. She has so many random little quirks and actions that make us laugh, she's the cutest kitten! I know that makes me probably sound pretty dumb, but still. I have a soft spot in me for affectionate animals.

I just came back home with 4 pairs of pants, and 3 new shirts, spending less than $70. Hooray!

I've been needing new jeans. Now, on to find some shorts...

Dammit, I just woke up from a 3-hour nap and realized I missed the CPR class they're giving at work. 10 minutes late wouldn't be bad, but 25 minutes is just too late for a classs like that. This is kinda upsetting, and makes me wonder if being tired like I am most of the time is getting to be a problem. I sleep for a good amount of time every night, from 6-8 hours, and still come home and feel tired, and then end up sleeping for 2-3 hours. It eats up my day and then makes me miss stuff like this, and when I wake up I'm in a pretty blah mood.

I don't like being tired all the time. :(

What I want to know is exactly what is going on outside. I'm still at work, surrounded by scared kids who want their parents and to get out of this room. We're lucky that this area of the daycare is seperate from the upstairs, I'm pretty much surrounded by a bank, and the only entrances to our room are hidden from the street, and well protected. No windows to protect.

All we have to listen to is the radio, or what stations are left of it. The only thing on are a few news channels, and all of them report a worldwide breakout of something called the 'solanum virus'. It's transmitted through fluids, and is 100% communicable and 100% fatal. Those infected have turned extremely violent, incapable of speech orreasoning, and have actively been pursuing uninfected civilians andmauling them. The newscaster was reluctant to say, but it looks likewhat was thought to be an isolated infection on an island in Indonesia finally hit the United States.

I'm blogging from my laptop, which I had the sense to bring with me today since I wasn't going home for break. We can't get outside right now, due to a call from Alice about 3 hours ago, telling us to stay inside and please do not let anybody in that looked...suspicious. About half an hour ago, we figured out just what she meant by suspicious. Carol heard a commotion outside, and normally we would just ignore it, but...this time it sounded like somebody screaming. Ignoring what Alice had told us, she opened up the door to see what was going on, and I followed. We crept around the corner of the parking garage to see what was going on, and slowly realized the depth of the situation we were in. From what we glimpsed before quickly ducking back around the wall and inside the daycare, we could tell that some guy had seemingly gone quite insane and had attacked another man. Normally, this wouldn't be too strange...except the crazy guy had a bloody stump instead of an arm, and he was tearing the other man apart and devouring him.

There were no cars on the street, except for some haphazardly parked with doors open and signs of hasty retreat. I'm now glad for our location, being in surrounded by office buildings and less chance of hordes of the infected coming around here sniffing for more.

For now, I've gotta go. Somebody is trying to calm the kids down and feed them, hopefully they can make them sleep before any more stuff happens outside. We're trying to think of some sort of plan to get out of here and to somewhere with access to weapons. I mean, how much weaponry are we going to find on the baby end of a daycare. Shit, we should start throwing dirty diapers at anyone who comes to the door, it might be the best weapon in this place.. >_

This weekend I was sick again for the second time in two weeks...blargh. Gotta get on the vitamin taking, or else this is going to be an endless cycle at work. My throat hurts, it cannot take much more of this!

But anyways, I'm bored. I got to thinking about what I want to do with my life, and it's really frustrating that I don't really know where I am going with this. I'm not sure anymore if I can see myself working with kids in a daycare setting like this for a very long period of time, but if not that, what? I guess I do have a couple more years still to think about it, but it would be nice if I maybe got experience in all different things

I'm one of those people who wants to know how to do everything, and be good at it. Languages is one thing I'm starting on - my Japanese is getting better, I'll be working on Portuguese sometime during college, and I'm starting sign language next semester at school. I want to have experience in lots of things, random things really. I want to learn how to make sushi, sail a little boat like I started to but had to move for college, do things that make people think I'm interesting.

Not only that, but I want to know many people, all kinds of people. This is something that I don't see myself accomplishing at the moment, because I limit myself to certain things right now and I'm not in the profession where there are many new people. That would be a good thing about lots of different work experience - it would get me out there, and interacting with more people.

Maybe this is a hint that I need to live in a bigger city. I've always wanted to go farther north, the cities there appeal to me a lot more than anywhere in Florida, really... I just don't know which city I want to settle down in or near. I don't really want to be moving around a lot, so it's something I have to decide before anything gets done...

That's alright, I still have some time to think about it. Two more years as an undergrad here, and I think I'm happy enough with Psychology that I'll go to grad school for it here at FSU - its a broad enough topic that I;m able to narrow it down eventually to something I really find interest doing.

I think the basic thing is that I want to be an interesting person.

Yesterday Trevor and I helped Aaron move out of his dorm into another. We got to almost throw a couch out of the window! It was a huge couch and wouldn't fit through the door, so we had no idea how his roommates got it into the room in the first place. I suggested they tie a rope to it and lower it the 3 stories to the ground floor..and they actually did it! It was pretty funny watching it, too bad I didn't have my camera on me.

Also, Trevor and I have been looking for houses to rent up here for next year, and I think we may have found a nice one. We still have to call to get into the house and see what it's like on the inside, but the outside was pretty nice and lots of people gave me suggestions on where to find rental homes. Wish us luck with finding one that's not too expensive!

Oh yeah, and I'm almost done with the hat..woo!

Last night I had a long bath filled with a bath fizzy and pearl and pampered myself with some organic honey scrub that my sister got me for Christmas, while reading a book.

It was nice, my skin is soft now.

And Saturday Trevor and I went to Tallahassee Naturally's 12th Annual Nude Greek Olympics, where they had a 200-meter dash, javelin and discus throw and long jump. About three people competed in each category (female non-athlete, male athlete and non-athlete) and Trevor won male non-athlete! I think he must be a kangaroo, he did a good jump. Too bad he burnt his private bits, although I did warn him to put sunscreen on! I laughed when he said it though, hehe.

Then we had softball (lost 23-4, woo!) during which I made it to home TWO times, and then Rocky Horror practice that didn't last too long. This week shouldn't be bad in terms of classes, I took all of my tests last week, but just remembered I have to go talk to my Statistics teacher about rescheduling the final for the next day or sometime, I really hope she lets me so that I can go to my grandparents 80th birthday without killing myself on the drive back up here. :/

That'll be done Friday, and Circus shows are coming up! I'm not performing in them because I'm fed up with Chad and Bike drama, so this summer will be my "work-out-to-do-ten-pullups" time so that I can get into an aerial act next year. Woo!

I made a new friend today! His name is Louis and he has a lot of piercings, and a Gir tattoo on his leg! I'm proud of myself because I actually struck up a conversation, which means I'm getting better at this whole 'meet new people' thing! Woo. And he told me Fresh Foods on campus is hiring, which I'm not too thrilled about the idea of working there, but at this point I think I'll take anything. So sometime this week I'll have to go in and ask about that, before spring break starts. Spring break! I don't think I'll be heading back to So Fla for Spring break this year, which is sad because that means I'll miss the Renaissance Festival for the first time in 5 years. :( But I definately will get out of this apartment, Trevor and I will go fun places like maybe Wakulla Springs and the beach, and we might go spend a day or two in Panama City staying at Kayla's house. Woowoo Spring Break Panama City! I don't think I'm skinny enough for that though, oh well! haha, I started up again on my workout yesterday after skipping it all last week from being sick. Soreness!

Hooray I'm finally getting transportation! I got my loan in and on Monday Trevor's taking me to the scooter shop so that I can finally get my scooter! It's THIS one. I'm taking the motorcycle endorsement class next week too, so I'll be driving it legally soon, too. So excited!

In other news, I need a job. Really, I'll take any job at this point, just something that'll help my bank account out and support my spontaneous shopping and to pay the loan off as soon as I can. Yay responsibilities! Hopefully I'll get a call from the Ritz camera in the mall, since I asked and she's hiring for weekends and some week days, and I think that'd be a neat job to have.

Hehe, and Trevor's gonna be a groomsman at his brothers wedding in July. The only wedding I've been to in the states was very...baptist, and there was nothing. A really pretty ceremony sure, but no real after-thing. No dancing, or cake fun, or throwing of the bouquet or anything. Kinda disappointing, but this should be neat to go to. I need a dress!

I went rock climbing today! Well bouldering actually. And yesterday too, but today is when the FSU climbing club met and we signed up and Trevor and I are going to start going on Monday nights. It's a really fun workout, helping my arms get stronger so that I can finally do pullups soon. Or at least one.

But otherwise, I'm full of Chinese food right now and studying for Brain and Behavior and Japanese after that and tomorrow I'll have to write up my notes for History of Asia to post, and then do my comp.literacy assignment! Busy week this week, but I'm kinda liking it, makes me feel motivated.

I still really need a job though, somebody needs to hire me! I'm trying to expand my job experience, any place will work...
